Summary Statement of Deficiencies D6046 TECHNICAL CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES CFR(s): 493.1413(b)(8) (b) The technical consultant is responsible for-- (b)(8) Evaluating the competency of all testing personnel and assuring that the staff maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report test results promptly, accurately and proficiently. This STANDARD is not met as evidenced by: Based on review of annual performance evaluations and interview with testing personnel (TP) #5, the technical consultant (TC) failed to have qualified personnel evaluate and document the annual performance for four of five testing personnel performing moderate complexity testing for 2021, 2022, and 2023 to date, June 14, 2023. Findings: 1. Review of performance evaluations revealed the TC failed to ensure qualified personnel had completed the competency evaluations for TP #1, TP #2, TP #3, and TP #4 performing moderate complexity testing. 2. Interview with TP #5 on June 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM confirmed the technical consultant failed to have qualified personnel evaluate and document the annual performance for four of five testing personnel performing moderate complexity testing for 2021, 2022, and 2023 to date June 14, 2023.
